Abstract: This invention proposes a novel NEMS (Nanoelectromechanical Systems) switch utilizing a perforated graphene-graphene oxide (GO) beam, designed to optimize performance in high-frequency communication systems. The switch addresses key challenges in MEMS (Microelectromechanical Systems) technology, such as high pull-in voltage, mechanical instability, and slow switching speed. The proposed NEMS switch leverages the unique properties of graphene and GO, including high conductivity, lightweight characteristics, and mechanical strength, to achieve low pull-in voltage, reduced resonant frequency, and high switching speed. Finite element analysis (FEA) simulations confirm that the perforated structure enhances the mechanical flexibility, reduces von-Mises stress, and minimizes switching time, making it ideal for applications in wireless communication, RADAR, and other high-frequency systems.
