The stakeout method comprises: acquiring an image captured by a stakeout device and present position information of the stakeout device, wherein the image comprises depth information for the stakeout device relative to a ground surface (S101); according to the image and the present position information, determining geographical projection information of the ground surface, the geographical projection information being used for indicating three- dimensional position information of the ground surface, the three-dimensional position information comprising height information (S102); according to the geographical projection information and the position information of a target stakeout point, determining whether a ground surface transformation point needs to be used (S103); and when determining that a ground surface transformation point needs to be used, determining path information between the present position information of the stakeout device and the position information of the ground surface transformation point (S104).
