MUMBAI, India, Aug. 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617075487 A) filed by Nippon Steel Corporation on June 18, 2026, for Steel Sheet.

Inventors include Hironaka, Satoshi; Nakano, Katsuya; and Nagano, Mai.

The application for the patent was published on July 31, 2026, under issue no. 31/2026.

Abstract: Provided is a steel sheet that is characterized by having a prescribed chemical composition and having a metal structure which contains, in area%, 75% to 95% ferrite and 5% to 25% martensite and in which the total of ferrite and martensite is at least 90%, the average grain spacing of the martensite is not more than 2.5 µm, the standard deviation of the martensite area ratio in a direction perpendicular to the rolling direction and the sheet thickness direction is not more than 1.5%, and, in EBSD measurement, the ratio A/B between the proportion A of regions where the KAM value in the ferrite is less than 0.5° and the proportion B of regions where the KAM value in the ferrite is at least 1.0° is at least 0.60.
