Abstract: The present invention provides a steel strip cold-rolling method, a method for manufacturing a cold-rolled steel strip, and equipment for manufacturing a cold-rolled steel strip that can satisfy a strict strip thickness accuracy requirement by reducing strip thickness variations over the entire length of a coil including rolling acceleration and deceleration regions, on the basis of a friction coefficient prediction method capable of predicting the coefficient of friction between a work roll and the steel strip with high accuracy, and an obtained coefficient of friction. Provided is a steel strip cold-rolling method that controls a roll circumferential speed of a cold-rolling mill, using a prediction model for predicting the coefficient of friction between a work roll of the cold-rolling mill and a steel strip. The prediction model is generated using rolling performance data as an explanatory variable, and an estimated value of the coefficient of friction as an objective variable. The rolling performance data includes the deformation resistance of the steel strip and the work roll diameter. The steel strip cold-rolling method includes a step for predicting the coefficient of friction between the work roll of the cold-rolling mill and the steel strip by inputting a steel strip rolling condition into the prediction model and controlling the roll circumferential speed of the cold-rolling mill on the basis of a change in strip thickness on the exit side of the cold-rolling mill.
