Abstract: A. portable self-sterilizing dental m'i rror device for rapid disinfection in community dental camps and rural healthcare settings is disclosed. The invention integrates a stainless-steel dental mirror with a built-in UV-C LED module operating at 260-2SO nm for effective microbial inactivation. The UVC system is enclosed within a protective UV-shieldcd casing and powered by a rechargeable USB-C battery, enabling cordless operation without water, chemicals, or external sterilization equipment. An automated timer or pushbutton activates a sterilization cycle of approximately 30 seconds, during which ultraviolet radiation destroys the DNA and RNA of bacteria, viruses, fungi, and spores present on the mirror surface. The integrated design minimizes crosscontamination and improves infection control in resource-limited environments. The device is suitable for school screenings, primary health centers, mobile dental clinics, military units, and emergency disaster rel11~f healthcare applications.
