The application for the patent was published on July 10, 2026, under issue no. 28/2026.

Abstract: This project presents the design and development of a string ray mechanism toy, a simple yet engaging mechanical toy that utilizes a string-based actuation system to produce motion and interaction. The toy operates on the principle of mechanical energy transfer through a pull-string mechanism, which converts linear motion into rotational or oscillatory movement. Depending on the design, the toy may resemble a ray (such as a stingray or a sci-fi ray gun) and demonstrate dynamic features such as flapping fins, light emission, or sound effects when activated. The mechanism is entirely mechanical or electro-mechanical, relying on user input (pulling a string) to trigger a series of gears, springs, or levers. The toy is designed to be both educational and entertaining, introducing basic concepts of mechanics and energy transformation to children through play. The present invention relates to a String Ray Mechanism Toy that utilizes a geardriven mechanical system to provide controlled movement and interactive play. The toy is designed with an energy- efficient motor, gear train, and casing constructed from UL 94-rated flame-retardant materials to ensure long-term durability and safety during operation. The system incorporates duallayer safety features, including thermal cutoff, overload protection, and auto- shutoff functions, compliant with lEC 62133, lEC 60335, and lEC 60730 safety standards. A failsafe mechanism activates in case of gear jamming, overheating, or abnormal load, thereby preventing damage to components and ensuring user safety. The toy further integrates real-time monitoring indicators to provide operational feedback. Through its combination of engineering safety standards, reliable mechanical design, and user-friendly operation, the invention offers a safe, durable, and compliant gear mechanism toy suitable for domestic and recreational environments.
