MUMBAI, India, June 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641051093 A) filed by The Principal, Mepco Schlenk Engineering College on April 22, 2026, for Stripe Framed Annular Cross X-Band Antenna For Satellite And Radar Applications.

Abstract: A high-pertormance antenna exhibitmg resonant characteristics at 'J.JY Gt-lz with elliptical polarization is proposed. This design has been achieved by integrating a compact design of a Stripe-Framed Annular shaped radiating patch antenna with L-shapcd and a Cross-shaped dipole structures. The structure has been optimized for elliptically polarized waves approaching a circular state at 9.39 Gl-lz with a Return loss of -33.3 dB, making it highly suitable for X-band satellite and radar applications. The purity uf the polarization offered by the antenna helps pnwide enhanced isolation with little loss from the l:araday effect in the atmosphere. The final antenna design is therefore small, economical, and forms a good basis for creating future aerospace and communications technologies
