Abstract: The invention relates to a structural component as a composite component (1-10) for a vehicle, in particular for a bicycle, which is obtained by injection moulding from a thermoplastic material preferably filled with tension-resistant short fibres, wherein the structural component comprises a further fibre reinforcement (14-17) at least in a partial region, wherein the further fibre reinforcement comprises tension-resistant long fibres (201, 505), wherein the tension-resistant long fibres are moulded around or on the filled thermoplastic material as at least one insert part in an injection moulding tool, wherein the insert part is selected from a group of insert parts comprising strips of unidirectional, preferably continuous fibres, semipregs of woven fibre fabrics or laid fibre fabrics, prepregs of woven fibre fabrics or laid fibre fabrics or organometallic sheets as dimensionally stable semifinished products with unidirectionally oriented or multidirectionally laid or woven tension-resistant long fibres, and wherein at least some of the insert parts comprise a thermoplastic material as a matrix material.
