Abstract: ABSTRACT STRUCTURED INTERMITTENT UNPLUGGING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DIGITAL STRESS REDUCTION A structured intermittent unplugging system (100) for digital stress reduction comprising a digital stress assessment module (110) with a Digital Stress Scale scoring engine (116), a structured unplugging intervention module (120) implementing progressive multi-day device-free periods through a progressive unplugging scheduler (124) and notification suppression controller (126), a therapeutic activity module (130) providing deep breathing exercises (132), guided mindfulness (134), physical activity (136), and creative engagement (138) during unplugging periods, a digital wellness education module (140), and an outcome monitoring and feedback module (150) with a demographic-adaptive analytics engine (156). The system enables quantified digital stress reduction through paired pre-post assessment and personalised intervention optimisation based on sociodemographic characteristics. Pilot evaluation demonstrated 59.7 percent stress reduction with exceptionally large effect sizes among young adults aged 18 to 25 years. [
