MUMBAI, India, July 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202544011454 A) filed by Nokia Technologies Oy on February 11, 2025, for Sub-Network Frequency Bands Determination.
Inventors include Kim Nielsen; Feridoon Jalili; and Thomas Haaning Jacobsen.
The application for the patent was published on July 10, 2026, under issue no. 28/2026.
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to determining sub-network frequency bands. In an aspect, a terminal device determines a first list of common frequency bands and a second list of candidate frequency bands to be used for creating a sub-network. The terminal device transmits, to a network node, first information indicating the first list of common frequency bands, the second list of candidate frequency bands, and the priorities. The terminal 10 device determines second information for communication with the network node based on receiving, from the network node, a request for the second information on supported intra-band carrier aggregation capabilities of the terminal device. The terminal device transmits the second information to the network node. As such, a grant and/or an assignment of a sub-network can be made by a network node based on additional capability information of a terminal device and 15 sub-network devices
