Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus for capturing and visually reporting category-wise student mistake counts. A frame includes a keyed template receptacle receiving a removable subject template having category labels registered with category apertures. Input modules aligned with the apertures include count members movable through integer-count detent positions. Corresponding bar members on a report panel are linked to the count members so that each detent movement advances a bar member by a fixed distance. A comparison carriage traverses the bar members and carries peak and trough followers with index retainers that preserve the category positions associated with the greatest and least displacements. Weakness and strength markers coupled to the index retainers register with the preserved positions, thereby identifying the maximum-count and minimum-count categories.
