Abstract: The invention relates to a support module for a fan, in particular for a centrifugal fan or diagonal fan, which comprises a motor and a fan impeller wheel which is rotatingly driven by the motor, for fastening the fan impeller wheel between an inflow-side nozzle plate and a support plate which is opposite the nozzle plate at a distance, the motor being mounted, together with the fan impeller wheel, approximately centrally on the support plate so as to be rotationally fixed, and being held on the nozzle plate by means of struts extending between the support plate and the nozzle plate, the support plate having a flow-guiding outer region and an inner connection region for fastening the stator of the motor, and an axial offset being defined between the regions. A fan is equipped with a corresponding support module.
