Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure relate to a first network function for wireless communication, comprising: at least one memory; and at least one processor coupled with the at least one memory and arranged to cause the first network function to: receive, from a second network function, a set of rules for inspecting Protocol Data Unit Sets, PDU Sets, and identifying a change in a PDU Set size between at least two PDU Sets; receive a set of packets that satisfies at least one rule of the set of rules, the set of packets including a plurality of PDU Sets; identify a PDU Set size change between a first PDU Set and a second PDU Set of the plurality of PDU Sets; and route the set of packets over a network interface to a base station, wherein the set of packets includes PDU Set information, the PDU Set information including an indication that the PDU Set size will change with the second PDU Set.
