Abstract: ABSTRACT SUSPENDED WATER IMPURITY-BASED ADSORBENT AND METHOD FOR DYE REMOVAL The present invention relates to an adsorption- active composite material (100), a method (200) for preparing the same, and a method (300) for removal of dye contaminants from aqueous media. The adsorption- active composite material (100) comprises thermally treated suspended impurity deposits collected from an internal surface of a water-distillation system, wherein the deposits comprise naturally accumulated inorganic mineral constituents and intrinsic surface functional groups for dye adsorption. The method (200) comprises collecting (202) suspended impurity deposits from the distillation system, washing (204) the deposits with ethanol, drying (206) to obtain a precursor material, and thermally treating (208) the precursor by calcination at 500–700 °C to obtain the composite material (100). The method (300) comprises contacting the composite material (100) with dye-contaminated aqueous media under controlled pH, contact time, and concentration conditions to remove cationic, anionic, or mixed dye systems via adsorption mechanisms including electrostatic interaction and ion exchange.
