Abstract: The present invention relates to an amphibious housing system capable of adapting to fluctuating water levels while maintaining structural stability, occupant safety, and long-term durability. The system comprises a housing unit constructed from a fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) structural frame integrated with a glass fiber reinforced polymer (GFRP) platform and supported by a buoyant barge positioned on a foundation formed by concrete pedestals. Under normal conditions, the barge rests on the foundation, supporting the housing unit in a stable elevated position. During flood events, the barge generates hydrostatic uplift forces that raise the housing unit vertically in response to increasing water levels. A plurality of concrete-filled FRP guide posts and corresponding guide channels constrain horizontal movement while permitting controlled vertical translation. The barge incorporates a GFRP space-truss structure with encapsulated buoyant cores to ensure floatation and structural integrity. The system provides a sustainable, and flood-resilient housing solution for flood-prone regions.
