Abstract: The Fig 3 shows the present invention relates to a sustainable lightweight Textile Reinforced Mortar tile (100) comprising a cementitious Concrete matrix (102) reinforced with alkali-resistant glass fibre mesh (110) for roofing and flooring applications. The cementitious mortar matrix (102) comprises Portland Pozzolana Cement (1-04)^ manufactured sand (106), quarry dust (108), water, superplasticizer, and red iron oxide pigment (112). The reinforcement layer (116) comprising al kali-resistant glass fibre mesh (110) is centrally embedded within the mortar matrix (102) to improve flexural strength, crack resistance, tensile behaviour, and post- cracking load carrying capacity. The developed tile specimens (118) are fabricated with a cement-to-fine aggregate ratio of 1:2 and a water-cement ratio of 0.40 to achieve improved matrix compactness, reduced permeability, and enhanced durability. The developed Textile Reinforced Concrete tile (100) exhibits improved flexural performance, reduced water absorption, lower sorptivity, enhanced abrasion resistance, reduced oxygen permeability, improved chloride penetration resistance, and satisfactory dimensional stability compared to conventional cement and terracotta roofing tiles.
