Abstract: SYNERGISTIC HERBICIDAL COMPOSITION CONTAINING PYRIDYLOXY CARBOXYLATES Abstract The present invention relates to a a herbicidal composition comprising of A) Pyridyloxy-carboxylates and B) at least one more herbicidally active compound having different mode of action selected from Inhibition of Acetolactate Synthase (ALS) group, Inhibition of Acetyl CoA Carboxylase group, Inhibition of Protoporphyrinogen Oxidase group, Inhibition of Photosynthesis at PSII - Serine 264 Binders group, Inhibition of Hydroxyphenyl Pyruvate Dioxygenase group and Inhibition of Very Long-Chain Fatty Acid Synthesis group of herbicides and a method of controlling growth of weeds. The present invention discloses particularly a synergistic herbicidal composition containing Fluroxypyl meptyl as Pyridyloxy carboxylates chemical along with Mesotrione / Metsulfuron-methyl. The present invention also relates to process for preparing the said composition and its use as herbicide.
