MUMBAI, India, June 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202331067838 A) filed by Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited on October 10, 2023, for Syngas Cooler Evaporator (heat Exchanger) With Tube And Channel Enclosed In Shell With Dished Ends.
Inventors include Elamparuthi Manivasagam; Nirmal Raj Nambirajan; Haridasan Mohan; Enanganti Murthunjoy; and Saravana Kumar Ganesan.

Abstract: The invention relates to syngas cooler evaporator (heat exchanger) with tube and channel enclosed in shell with dished ends. It is pertinent to a heat exchanger with better cooling of tube sheet. According to the present invention, there is provision of Syngas cooler evaporator (heat exchanger) comprising of tube (10,11) enclosed in a shell (3,5,7) with dish ends (2,4,6,8) together with gas in the tubes (10) and water in the shells (3,5,7) with dish ends (2,4,6,8), wherein the gas is fed into the tubes (11) through inlet nozzle (1) and tube (10) and moves out through the nozzle (9).
