The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT SMF-BASED CONTACTLESS ELECTROMAGNETIC DETUMBLING AND MATERIAL CHARACTERIZATION USING HTS COIL ARRAY The present invention relates to a system (100) and method for contactless electromagnetic interaction with a rotating conductive body (106). The system (100) comprises a plurality of current-carrying coils (102) arranged in an array, a current driver array (114), a master controller (112), and an optical tracker (110). The master controller (112) computes independent current values for each coil (102) based on detected rotational parameters and generates a dynamic Synthetic Moving Field (104) using a multi-point optimisation framework including a focal-point constraint and a plurality of null-point constraints for controlling magnetic field distribution. The system enables detumbling through eddy-current-induced torque and further performs contactless material characterisation by sweeping the focal point across the target surface and analysing torque response to determine spatial distribution of conductive regions. The method includes detecting rotational parameters, computing coil currents, generating a controlled magnetic field, and performing rotational conductivity scanning. Fig. 1
