MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611073191 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology Jodhpur on June 12, 2026, for System, Method And Device For Non-Invasive Breath-Based Glucose Monitoring.

Inventors include Singh, Ujjwal; Agarwal, Ajay; and Dwivedi, Akanksha.

The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a system comprises a breath sampling unit (102) that receives exhaled breath from a user and directs the exhaled breath into a sensing chamber (108) having a self-cleaning mechanism for removing residual gases after each measurement cycle. A multiplexed sensor array (104) disposed within the sensing chamber (108) detects a plurality of gaseous biomarkers associated with glucose metabolism. An environmental sensing unit (106) measures ambient temperature and humidity and generates compensation parameters. A signal conditioning and data acquisition unit (110) processes sensor outputs to generate digitized sensor signals. A processing unit (120) analyzes the digitized sensor signals by performing preprocessing, feature extraction, and predictive modeling to estimate a glucose value and control operation of the sensing chamber (108). A wireless communication module (114) transmits the estimated glucose value to an external device, and a display unit (116) presents the estimated glucose value to the user.
