Abstract: ABSTRACT System and Method for a Robust IF-RVFL Framework for Binary Pattern Recognition The present invention relates to a robust Intuitionistic Fuzzy Random Vector Functional Link Classifier (IFRVFLC) framework for binary pattern recognition. The framework comprises an intuitionistic fuzzy assignment module that computes membership and non-membership degrees for each training sample, a rating module that applies a three-case rule to generate sample weights ( eta_i ), an RVFL training module that solves a single weighted linear system to obtain closed-form output weights, a decision module that classifies new instances using a sign function, and a performance evaluation module that provides continuous feedback. By integrating local-neighbourhood-based intuitionistic fuzzy logic with the fast RVFL architecture, the invention provides superior noise robustness and computational efficiency compared to prior art classifiers such as RVFL, IFSVM, IFTSVM, ELM, KRR and SVM, without requiring Quadratic Programming Problems. The framework is suitable for real-world applications including medical diagnosis, fraud detection, and industrial inspection.
