MUMBAI, India, Oct. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611115621 A) filed by Sayan Bishnu on September 26, 2026, for System And Method For Adaptive Containment Of Multi-Stage Cloud Intrusions Using Runtime Attack-State Fingerprinting And Minimum-Disruption Micro-Segmentation.
Inventor includes Sayan Bishnu.
The application for the patent was published on October 09, 2026, under issue no. 41/2026.
Abstract: A computer-implemented system and method are disclosed for adaptive containment of multi-stage intrusions in distributed cloud environments. Heterogeneous workload, network, identity and control-plane events are correlated into a temporal graph and a provenance-linked runtime attack-state fingerprint representing suspected attack stages, implicated entities, traversal paths, confidence values and expiry information. Alternative micro-segmentation cuts are generated from the fingerprint and evaluated using residual attack reachability and estimated disruption to authorized service dependencies. A feasible cut is selected subject to configured propagation-risk and essential-service constraints and is translated into coordinated policies for distributed cloud enforcement points. Staged deployment, workload- health verification and fresh intrusion telemetry control policy adaptation, expiration or rollback. The arrangement provides an evidence-driven mechanism for containing evolving lateral movement while limiting unnecessary interruption of legitimate cloud workloads. Accompanied Drawing [FIGS. 1-2].
