Abstract: The present disclosure provides a system (102) and method (300) for adaptive multi-modal threat detection. The system (102) receives one or more audio signals associated with an environment through a sound acquisition unit (118) and one or more images associated with the environment using an image acquisition unit (104). The system (102) analyzes via a machine learning engine (214), the received one or more audio signals and the received one or more images to determine one or more suspicious activities associated with the environment. The system (102) based on the determination of the one or more suspicious activities, enable one or more preventive actions to counter the determined one or more suspicious activities. The system (102) instantaneously monitors the environment using a web-based interface (110).
