Abstract: ABSTRACT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AI-BASED ECO-FRIENDLY PRODUCT CLAIM VERIFICATION AND GREENWASHING RISK-ASSESSMENT IN PERSONAL-CARE PRODUCTS The present invention relates to a system and method for verifying eco-friendly claims associated with personal care products and assessing the risk of greenwashing in such claims. The system (100) provides an AI-enabled digital verification framework in which product sustainability claims, certification details, ingredient information, packaging information, and influencer promotional content are collected, processed, compared, and evaluated. A brand, manufacturer, seller, or authorized administrator registers a product on a digital platform, and a unique QR code or NFC-enabled digital identity is generated for consumer access. Upon scanning, the system processes the claim data through modules including product registration, claim extraction, certificate verification, ingredient transparency, packaging evidence, influencer content analysis, greenwashing risk scoring, trust score generation, and consumer display. The system compares eco-friendly claims with supporting evidence and generates a claim verification status, trust score, greenwashing risk score, and explanatory output classifying the claim as verified, partially verified, unsupported, exaggerated, or high-risk.
