Abstract: This thesis introduces the design and development of a sympathetic, AI-driven assessment tool that will revolutionize the rehabilitation intake and support process for alcohol and cigarette addiction patients. By using the latest artificial intelligence technologies like Google Gemini for natural language processing, CNN and BiLSTM models for sentiment analysis, and T5 transformer models for report generation, the system engages users with a conversational virtual assistant that gathers critical information on addiction history, mental health status, triggers, and support systems. The software uses a multi-dimensional rehabilitation model by creating detailed medical reports with customized treatment plans, fitness advice, nutrition advice, and addiction-related precautions. It overcomes key shortfalls in existing rehabilitation procedures by lowering intimidation from conventional methods, making treatment more accessible, and achieving improved outcomes through real-time, customized guidance. Our research process included extensive literature review, system architecture and design, prototype development, and initial testing. Findings indicate the system's potential to provide empathetic interaction, correct estimation of addiction severity, and personalized rehabilitation suggestions. Use of React as frontend and FastAPI as backend provides a secure and responsive user interface.By combining cutting-edge AI technology with evidence-based psychology principles, the system offers holistic and empathetic assessment and develops improved and personalized recovery plans. This breakthrough is a significant step towards electronic health interventions for recovery from addiction and, more importantly, has larger mental health implications.
