Abstract: ABSTRACT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AI-DRIVEN GENOMIC SELECTION FOR ACCELERATED CROP IMPROVEMENT The present disclosure relates to an AI-driven genomic selection system and method for accelerated crop improvement. Genome-wide marker data from crop candidates are quality-controlled, imputed, and converted into a genomic representation aligned with phenotype and environmental records. An AI genomic prediction engine generates trait-specific or environment-specific genomic values, while an uncertainty engine determines candidate-specific prediction reliability. A confidence gate directs sufficiently supported candidates to a multi-trait selection optimizer and routes low-confidence candidates to a targeted phenotyping or genotyping queue. The selection optimizer evaluates predicted trait merit together with genomic relatedness so that a selected set satisfies configured diversity constraints. Newly acquired observations are reconciled to candidate identifiers and incorporated into a controlled model-update dataset for subsequent prediction cycles. The architecture thereby integrates genomic quality control, uncertainty-aware prediction, environment-aware selection, diversity preservation, and feedback-directed data acquisition in an iterative genomic selection process.
