MUMBAI, India, June 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541078266 A) filed by Apit Machinery Private Limited on August 18, 2025, for System And Method For Analysing Grains Quality.

Inventors include Shashikumar Thimmaiah; and Sridhar Nagalapur.

The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ANALYSING GRAINS QUALITY The present disclosure relates to a system (100) and a method (400) for analysing a plurality of grains (108) quality. The system (100) comprises a conveyor (104) for transporting the grains and a vibration mechanism (112) mechanically coupled to the conveyor (104) to generate vibrations for regulating spacing and orientation of the grains during conveyance. At least one image sensor (106) captures visual data of the plurality of grains (108) in motion. A control unit (114) receives the visual data, determines parameters associated with each grain, and detects, in real time, defects and foreign contaminants. Further, the control unit (114) classifies the plurality of grains (108) into one or more categories based on a predefined threshold and determines impurity ratios corresponding to the one or more categories. The impurity ratios are provided as an indication of grain quality, enabling accurate, automated, and real- time grain quality assessment. [
