MUMBAI, India, June 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621045296 A) filed by Mohite Vikram Narayan on April 09, 2026, for System And Method For Automated Integrity Verification Of Engineering Drawings Using Context-Aware Tag Extraction And Cross- Validation.

Inventor includes Mohite Vikram Narayan.

The application for the patent was published on June 19, 2026, under issue no. 25/2026.

Abstract: A system and method for automated integrity verification of engineering drawings, including Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), is disclosed. The method comprises extracting tag information using a plurality of independent processing passes, aggregating extracted tags, and assigning confidence levels based on frequency of detection. Extracted tags are processed using a structured multi-layer classification framework that preserves original extracted values and performs contextual validation against a reference tag dataset. The system identifies discrepancies including missing, additional, inconsistent, and duplicate tags and generates structured outputs for analysis. The method further supports comparison between different versions of engineering drawings and optional validation in the absence of a reference tag dataset using internal consistency analysis. The system operates on scanned or Portable Document Format (PDF) drawings and executes entirely on local computing infrastructure without external data transmission.
