Abstract: ABSTRACT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AUTONOMOUS CYBERSECURITY CONTROL AND SELF-HEALING OF DISTRIBUTED COMPUTING NETWORKS The present invention relates to a system and method for providing autonomous cybersecurity control and self-healing of distributed computing systems. Network traffic, workload execution, device integrity, authentication, service dependency, and resource availability data are collected via a distributed sensing layer through heterogeneous edge nodes. Cybersecurity, edge intelligence, resource orchestration, and self-healing agents recognize the occurrence of an abnormal network situation and determine the cause-and-effect chain of threat propagation using locally maintained causal digital twins. A digitally signed capsule specifies the proposed recovery procedure, expected network state after recovery, continuity constraint of services, and condition of reversal of execution. Edge nodes are chosen and the proposed recovery procedure is simulated counter-factually and reliability-weighted validation values are computed taking into account node integrity, relevance, simulation confidence, and resource availability. After distributed authorization, micro-segmentation of the compromised network element is performed and workload migration or network reconfiguration is undertaken.
