MUMBAI, India, July 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411097008 A) filed by Mercedes-Benz Group AG on December 09, 2024, for System And Method For Calibrating Uncalibrated Data Of Vehicle Sensors.

Inventors include Sarnab Debnath; Chethan Manjunath; Tony Mathew; and Jangam Buddha Chandrika.

The application for the patent was published on July 24, 2026, under issue no. 30/2026.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a system 102 and a method 400 for calibrating uncalibrated data. The method 400 includes receiving 402 the uncalibrated data from first sensors, first parameters, and second parameters and receiving 404 calibrated data from second sensors. Further, the method 400 includes transforming 406 a coordinate value of the first sensors and the second sensors corresponding to a coordinate value of a Centre of Gravity (COG) of the vehicle, and predicting 408 an offset value between the uncalibrated data and the calibrated data. Further, the method 400 includes calibrating 410 the uncalibrated data based on the prediction of the offset value. Therefore, the system 102 and method 400 improve on existing methods by providing real-time, adaptive calibration, enhancing accuracy and reliability compared to static or manual adjustments.
