Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and method for cancer classification using a Haliaeetus Unicinctus Optimization (HUO) optimized Deep Long Short-Term Memory (Deep-LSTM) network. The system receives microarray gene expression data and performs pre-processing, feature extraction, feature selection, and classification. The HUO algorithm combines exploration and exploitation mechanisms inspired by bald eagle and Harris hawk hunting behaviours to optimize feature subsets and Deep-LSTM parameters. The optimized Deep-LSTM network classifies biological samples as cancerous or non-cancerous with enhanced accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, and computational efficiency. The invention is applicable to automated medical diagnosis, bioinformatics analysis, clinical decision support systems, and artificial intelligence-based healthcare platforms.
