MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621073702 A) filed by Ankur Jain; and Anindita Tiwari on June 13, 2026, for System And Method For Cell-Specific Battery Degradation Monitoring Using Commissioning Internal Resistance Baseline Comparison.

Inventor includes Ankur Jain.

The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CELL-SPECIFIC BATTERY DEGRADATION MONITORING USING COMMISSIONING INTERNAL RESISTANCE BASELINE COMPARISON A battery monitoring system (100) and method (200) for monitoring battery cells are disclosed. The battery monitoring system (100) comprises an internal resistance measurement unit (102) configured to measure internal resistance of each cell of a battery pack (108), a memory unit (104) configured to store a commissioning baseline internal resistance (114) for each cell, and a processing unit (106) configured to compare a current internal resistance (116) of a cell with the stored commissioning baseline internal resistance (114) to determine a degradation status (122) of the cell. The processing unit (106) further determines a deviation (118) between the current internal resistance (116) and the commissioning baseline internal resistance (114), and generates degradation information based on the deviation (118). FIG. 1 will be the reference figure.
