Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and method for comparative tragic protagonist analysis using literature knowledge mapping. The system comprises a document input unit, processor, memory unit, literary concept database, tragic character attribute extraction module, theoretical mapping module, comparative analysis module, cultural-context mapping module, and output generation module. The system receives literary texts, research notes, or comparative study documents and extracts protagonist-related attributes such as tragic flaw, psychological conflict, social pressure, moral dilemma, fate, free will, love, death, and downfall. The extracted attributes are mapped with literary theory categories including Aristotelian tragedy, Renaissance tragedy, modern tragedy, and social realism. The comparative analysis module compares two or more protagonists and generates structured outputs such as tables, concept maps, protagonist profiles, and analytical reports. The invention assists students, teachers, and researchers in performing consistent, cross-cultural, and theory-based comparative literary analysis of tragic characters from different literary traditions.
