Abstract: SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING CHARGING AND DISCHARGING OF A TRACTION BATTERY OF A VEHICLE ABSTRACT In an embodiment, a system for controlling charging and discharging of a traction battery of a vehicle is disclosed. The system includes an external connection module (ECM) to be connected to an external system. A voltage level adjustment module (VLAM) is connected to the ECM and is to be connected to the traction battery. The VLAM is to adjust a received voltage and supply an adjusted voltage. A first side of the VLAM may be connected to the ECM or the traction battery, and a second side may be connected to the other of the ECM or the traction battery. A controller is configured to control operation of the VLAM based on at least one of: an operation mode of the traction battery, a voltage level of the traction battery, and a voltage level of the external system.
