Abstract: A method (1600) for creating an intelligent cinematic effect in a media is disclosed. Firstly, frame(s) are extracted from the media. Then, Regions of Interest (ROI(s)), action(s) and corresponding optical flow parameter and foreground information are determined in each frame based on a Deep Neural Network. Then, priority is assigned to the ROI(s) based on the action(s), the optical flow parameter and the foreground information. ROI timeline(s) are generated for each ROI based on the priority. In an embodiment, higher priority ROI(s) are grouped together based on saliency strength, proximity and quality ratio. Then, playback transition(s) and playback speed(s) are applied to final Point of View (POV) timeline(s) based on the optical flow parameter, the action(s) and the ROI(s) priority. Finally, motion and upscaling are applied to the final POV timeline(s) based on the optical flow parameter and the quality ratio thereby creating the intelligent cinematic effect in the media.
