Abstract: ABSTRACT The present disclosure relates to a system and method for decentralized carpooling with edge-level fraud-resistant ride authentication. The system (100) comprises an IoT sensing device (102) installed in a vehicle configured to generate a fraud probability score for a plurality of ride event signals and transmit the plurality of ride event signals only when the fraud probability score satisfies a consensus-calibrated fraud threshold value received from a distributed ledger network (110). An authentication circuit (104) generates a verified ride event record through dual-modality cross-validation and a temporal ride fingerprint encoding timing intervals between successive predefined ride lifecycle events. A contract execution circuit (108) compares the temporal ride fingerprint against historical temporal ride fingerprints stored on the distributed ledger network (110) and triggers a smart contract (112) exclusively upon receipt of both the verified ride event record and the temporal ride fingerprint.
