Abstract: The present disclosure relates a system (200) for detecting an object in an exterior of a vehicle (100). The system comprises at least one image capturing device (210), a processor (220), and a display device (230). The at least one image capturing device (210) may be configured to capture an image data containing a field of view (150) in the exterior of the vehicle, wherein the field of view (150) includes at least a portion of a legally prescribed view such as a Class VI view. The at least one image capturing device (210) is configured in an interior of a cabin (110) of the vehicle at a location proximate to the middle and top of a windshield (112) of the vehicle to maximize the field of view at the front ground level of the vehicle. The processor (220) may be configured to process the image data captured by the at least one image capturing device (210) to detect the object located at least partially in the Class VI view.
