Abstract: SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETECTING MISALIGNMENT OF A PNEUMATIC TIRE OF A VEHICLE The present invention provides a pneumatic tire (10) comprising at least three tread blocks (12) with top tread surfaces (14) and circumferential grooves (16) between the tread blocks (12). The pneumatic tire (10) further comprises at least four sets of alignment indicator bars (18) that are identical and disposed on walls of each of the circumferential grooves (16) and at predetermined depths (D) below the top tread surface (14), wherein differential wear of the tread blocks (12) causes at least two sets of alignment indicator bars (18) across different circumferential grooves (16) to appear differently from one another indicating misalignment of the pneumatic tire (10) relative to the other pneumatic tires of a vehicle. The pneumatic tire (10) comprises an electronic sensor (22) embedded in a tread wear indicator (20) positioned in between the sets of alignment indicator bars (18).
