MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611078895 A) filed by Gla University, Mathura on June 26, 2026, for System And Method For Detecting Underage Driving Using Behavioral Biometric Steering Analysis.
Inventor includes Dr. Kamal Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and method for detecting underage driving using behavioral biometric steering analysis are disclosed. The system comprises a biometric steering assembly (100) including a capacitive grip sensing array (101), a photoplethysmography sensor module (102), and an inertial measurement unit (103) configured to acquire driver behavioral and physiological data. Sensor outputs are processed through a signal conditioning circuit (104), an analog-to-digital conversion module (105), and an embedded processing unit (106). A machine learning inference engine (107) analyzes extracted features to generate an age probability score indicative of underage driving. Based on the generated score, a vehicle interface controller (109) initiates preventive actions, while a communication module (108) transmits event information. A power management module (110) supplies regulated power to system components.
