Abstract: ABSTRACT System And Method For Distributed Resource Coordination Supporting Sidelink Communication In Wireless Communication Networks A method and system for distributed resource coordination in a wireless communication system supporting sidelink communication are disclosed. A user equipment (UE) senses a sidelink resource pool to determine candidate resources and selects a tentative preferred resource for semi-persistent transmission. Prior to reservation, the UE transmits a resource intent message (RIM) over a sidelink control channel. One or more neighboring UEs detect potential conflicts and transmit conflict-related messages. The UE controls allocation by modifying or confirming the tentative preferred resource based on the received messages and reserves a final resource for transmission, thereby avoiding overlapping resource usage. The invention enables proactive, UE-to-UE coordination without centralized control, reducing collision probability, latency, and reselection frequency while improving reliability and spectral efficiency. The solution is compatible with existing NR V2X Mode 2 operations and supports distributed deployment in dense and dynamic communication environments. (FIG. 1)
