Abstract: ABSTRACT The present disclosure relates to dual-layer sensing and scored water quality monitoring. The system (102) includes a plurality of submerged electrical electrodes (104) permanently positioned below a water surface of a liquid storage vessel, a gas sensing array (106) positioned at an air-water interface, and a hardware processor (108) operatively coupled to both sensing layers. The hardware processor (108) applies a voltage differential across the submerged electrical electrodes (104) to measure cation and anion signal patterns indicative of ionic contamination levels. A water safety score is computed on a predetermined numerical scale, representing a quantified potability index, and mapped to a tiered potability recommendation. The gas sensing array (106) generates a gas signal compared against a pre-stored contaminant threshold, producing a secondary alert signal. Both outputs are transmitted to a registered mobile number via a wireless communication interface (110), operating concurrently and architecturally independent within a single floating device. FIG. 1
