MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611071103 A) filed by Delhi Technological University on June 08, 2026, for System And Method For Dynamical Orchestrating Cryptographic Operation In A Quantum-Safe Communication Network.

Inventors include Nair, Aryan; and Mehra, Pawan Singh.

The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.

Abstract: A system (100) and a method (700) for dynamical orchestrating cryptographic operation in a quantum-safe communication network are disclosed. The system (100) comprises a Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) module (110) configured to generate quantum-derived cryptographic keys, a Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) module (112) configured to perform post-quantum cryptographic operations, a Key Management System (KMS) (114) configured to maintain cryptographic keys and associated key-lifecycle information, a Resource Monitoring Unit (RMU) (116) configured to acquire physical-layer quantum metrics and key-lifecycle parameters, and a Security Posture State (SPS) controller (118) configured to determine a cryptographic operating state based on the acquired metrics and parameters. The SPS controller (118) dynamically transitions between predefined security posture states and generates control signals to selectively activate QKD-based operation, hybrid QKD-PQC operation, or PQC-only operation.
