MUMBAI, India, July 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202631075138 A) filed by Siddhartha Choudhury on June 17, 2026, for System And Method For Dynamically Controlling Processor Operating States To Improve Its Computational Energy Efficiency.
Inventor includes Siddhartha Choudhury.
The application for the patent was published on July 10, 2026, under issue no. 28/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT TITLE: SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DYNAMICALLY CONTROLLING PROCESSOR OPERATING STATES TO IMPROVE ITS COMPUTATIONAL ENERGY EFFICIENCY The present invention provides a processor controller system and method for improving computational energy efficiency of a semiconductor processor. The system comprises a Sovereign Kinetic Engine (SKE) controller operating at kernel privilege level of the host operating system and interfaced to the processor via sensing channels. The SKE controller continuously acquires hardware telemetry from the processor and computes a normalised scalar or extraction intensity (R) that captures the processor's instantaneous operating point relative to Gunn null point (Rc) and Shockley saturation point (Rs). The SKE controller continuously applies corrective actuations to processor's performance policy registers to steer the R toward the Rc which is the processor’s operating point of maximum coherent energy transport efficiency through real-time adjustment of clock frequency and load fraction.
