Abstract: The present disclosure provides a system (102) and method (300) for emotion-aware vehicular entrapment prevention. The system (102) receives images associated with an occupant of a vehicle via the image acquisition unit. The system (102) receives external images associated with surroundings of the vehicle. The system (102) detects environmental parameters within the vehicle through sensors. The system (102) determines facial parameters and emotional state parameters associated with the occupant of a vehicle. The system (102) analyzes, via a machine learning engine (214), the received images, the detected environmental parameters, the determined facial parameters, and the received external images to determine a dynamic distress probability score. The system (102) operates one or more window override actuators of the vehicle when the dynamic distress probability score exceeds a predefined safety threshold to provide safety to the occupant of the vehicle.
