Abstract: The present disclosure provides a system (104) and a method (400) for estimating a revised charging time of a degraded charge point (112). The system (104) predicts a contact resistance between an inlet (106) and a charging connector (114) based on at least one of, an ambient temperature (306) and an integral current square ratio (304), and determines a first current profile (308) based on at least one of, the predicted contact resistance, and the ambient temperature (306). Further, the system (104) determines a charging current profile (312) based on the determined first current profile (308) and a second current profile (310) obtained from a battery management system (110). Then, the system (104) estimates the revised charging time based on the determined charging current profile (312). The revised charging time may be displayed on a user interface, transmitted to a cloud server, and used for route planning applications, among others.
