MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511132218 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi on December 26, 2025, for System And Method For Evaluating Temperature Related Performance Of Asphalt.
Inventors include Wagh, Vivek Pratap; and Gupta, Ankit.
The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a system (102) and method for evaluating the temperature-related performance of a mixture, particularly asphalt or other composite mixtures used in pavement applications. The system (100) includes a processor (102) and a memory (104) storing executable instructions that, when executed, cause the processor (102) to receive test data from sensor module (112) via a data acquisition unit (118), analyze the data to determine a rutting performance score, and compare the score with a predefined threshold to identify a temperature at which the mixture loses rutting resistance. A processing engine (110) comprising a performance analysis module (112) and a threshold evaluation module (122) performs computational evaluation and stores data in a database (118). Results are displayed through a display unit (116), providing an integrated framework for determining mixture performance under varying temperature conditions.
