Abstract: The present invention relates to a forensic human identification system and method utilizing panoramic dental radiographic analysis for automated identification and comparative forensic evaluation. The system comprises an input interface subsystem, communication architecture, processor circuitry, memory resources, panoramic image validation modules, image quality enhancement circuitry, tooth segmentation engines, feature extraction processors, similarity computation modules, database management components, and forensic interpretation interfaces configured in an integrated analytical framework. Ante-mortem and post-mortem panoramic dental radiographs are acquired and subjected to panoramic validation, image enhancement, and tooth-level segmentation operations. Individual dental structures are isolated and converted into structured feature representations comprising morphological, positional, texture, and contextual descriptors. Similarity computation circuitry performs structural correspondence analysis and generates ranked candidate identities based on composite similarity measures. The system further generates visual analytical outputs and forensic reports while preserving expert-guided interpretation. The invention improves identification accuracy, analytical transparency, processing efficiency, and reliability under practical forensic conditions involving degraded or variable radiographic records.
