Abstract: ABSTRACT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FORMING REWRITABLE SUPRAMOLECULAR CIRCUITS The present invention relates to an apparatus (100) for forming a rewritable supramolecular circuit, the apparatus (100) comprising a responsive supramolecular medium (102), at least one supramolecular seed (104), a field-generation assembly (106), and a readout assembly (108), wherein controlled external stimuli induce localized supramolecular ordering from the supramolecular seed (104) to form a physically reconfigurable circuit path within the responsive supramolecular medium (102). The invention further relates to a method (200) comprising providing (202) the responsive supramolecular medium, applying (204) a first external stimulus, applying (206) additional stimuli to form or modify the circuit path, and detecting (208) a circuit state through electrical, optical, spectroscopic, interferometric, magnetic, or hybrid readout. The invention additionally provides a rewritable supramolecular circuit medium retaining a measurable functional state prior to erasure or rewriting. FIG. 1 will be the reference figure.
