MUMBAI, India, July 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641081463 A) filed by Vinayak M Sannamani on July 02, 2026, for System And Method For Framework-Independent Test Automation Using An Execution-Agnostic Intermediate Representation.

Inventor includes Vinayak M Sannamani.

The application for the patent was published on July 10, 2026, under issue no. 28/2026.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a system and method for framework-independent test automation. The system (100) comprises one or more processors (102), a memory (104), an input interface (106) configured to receive a machine-readable specification comprising a BDD declarative state machine specification, and an intermediate representation engine (108) configured to transform the specification into a framework-neutral intermediate representation comprising action nodes, assertion nodes, and synchronization nodes. A runtime engine (110) executes test scenarios directly from the framework-neutral intermediate representation. An artifact generation subsystem (112) generates execution-target artifacts for multiple execution environments through adapters, an artifact synchronisation subsystem (114) selectively regenerates affected artifacts in response to specification modifications, and a traceability subsystem (116) maintains traceability records linking the machine-readable specification, the framework-neutral intermediate representation, and the execution-target artifacts.
