Abstract: SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR HIGH-RATE DISCHARGE CHARACTERIZATION AND REDUCED-ORDER VOLTAGE PREDICTION OF SODIUM-ION BATTERIES UNDER COUPLED TEMPERATURE-HUMIDITY CONDITIONS A system (100) and computer-implemented method characterize high C-rate discharge of a sodium-ion cell (150) and predict terminal voltage V(t) under coupled temperature-humidity conditions. A sensor and data-acquisition module (103) acquires voltage, current, capacity, cell and ambient temperature, and relative humidity during controlled cycling by a cycler (115) and chamber (116). A feature-extraction module (106) derives depth of discharge, current, temperature, humidity, and differential capacity, and a model-execution engine (105) executes a reduced-order NTGK Polynomial Loss Representation model selected from a Simplified variant, an Arrhenius- augmented variant, a temperature-contact-resistance-augmented variant, and temperature-humidity augmented variants. A unified parameter set identified from limited C-rates generalizes to untrained C-rates with sub-millivolt accuracy at sub-microsecond per-step cost, enabling deployment in battery-management systems for electric-vehicle and grid-scale storage
